We have an opportunity with a highly regarded national engineering consultancy who are looking to engage a Structural Modeller to join their Adelaide office. With a strong presence in the local industry, you will lead key projects in defence, transport, and buildings across Australia. With several major projects secured, the firm is looking to grow its Adelaide team. This company offers flexible working arrangements including flexibility with hours as well as your work location. The role
Reporting to the Structural Engineer, you will be working alongside the design teams across buildings and structures projects. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
The ideal candidate
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, with 3+ years’ experience in buildings, industrial or defence projects. You will have a thorough understanding on Australian standards and relevant building codes. As you will be working on defence projects in SA, you will hold Australian Citizenship. Proficiency in preparing and reviewing reports and technical specifications as well as delivering work on time and according to budget will be required to succeed in this role. You will be a critical thinker, who is driven to overcome challenges and provide solutions that exceed client expectations. Individuals that are Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer’s will be advantageous.

The role

- Develop and manage detailed 3D structural models using Revit to support various defence projects.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure integration and accuracy of structural models.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documents to accurately reflect design intent in models.
- Perform clash detection and resolution to ensure model integrity and coordination across disciplines.
- Prepare and maintain model documentation, including reports, drawings, and other project deliverables.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to ensure adherence to project requirements and standards.
