The Role
As a Senior HSEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing all safety and compliance initiatives, ensuring best practices are embedded across the business. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and enhancing HSEQ policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Driving compliance with WHS regulations, risk mitigation strategies, and industry standards.
- Providing leadership, training, and mentoring to project teams and site personnel.
- Conducting site inspections, audits, and investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Managing incident response, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Keeping up to date with regulatory changes and implementing best practices.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 5+ years of experience in HSEQ roles within the construction sector.
- A strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance frameworks, and risk management.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive a safety-first culture.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A Certificate IV in WHS (or higher) is required, with further qualifications in safety, quality, or environmental management highly regarded.
