Safety Supervisor

ROUSSOS Recruitment is pleased to be partnering with a well-established South Australian contractor to source an experienced Safety Supervisor. This role requires involvement high-profile commercial construction projects on a medium and large scale. You will contribute to fostering a strong safety culture on site with this exceptional opportunity to begin a long and rewarding career with renowned and well-respected businesses in South Australia. You should be a results-driven experienced HSE Officer who relishes the challenge of juggling various responsibilities within constantly evolving businesses. 
 
The Role
Working closely with Site Supervisors, you will:
 
  • Take responsibility for daily WHS
  • Plan, control and implement WHSQ procedures
  • Ensure necessary documentation, certifications and administration are maintained
  • Undertake site inspections, toolbox talks, risk assessments, SWMS, JSA’s and WHS documentation maintenance
  • Liaise with staff regarding works carried out and ensuring staff are adhering to current WHS codes of practice and legislation
  • Develop and nurture a safety-first environment and culture within the organisation
 
The Like Mind
To be successful, you will have experience working as an HSE Officer on commercial construction projects with a minimum of 12 months local on-site experience. High level stakeholder management skills will be key, together with a positive attitude toward supporting a project team. A Certificate IV in WHS and an up to date First Aid Certificate is an advantage, and in return for your hard work you will have the opportunity to work with professional and proven Commercial Construction businesses with a strong brand within the Adelaide market.
