We are partnering with a national multi-disciplinary engineering organisation who specialise in providing consultancy services to the property and infrastructure sectors. Operating for over 35 years, this employee-owned company has grown to a team of 400 people working across 10 offices around Australia. As they grow their local team here in SA, they are looking to engage a forward-thinking Senior Civil Designer who is looking to take on more ownership and make the role their own. This role will see you grow a team of technically minded engineers around you and be involved in their ongoing training and development. You will have the opportunity to deliver design for master planned communities and be involved in projects across both private and public sectors.
The role
As a Senior Civil Designer, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of civil design. Your responsibilities will also include:

You will have a strong understanding of civil engineering design, drafting and knowledge of Australian design standards, practices and codes. The role
As a Senior Civil Designer, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of civil design. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Preparing design concepts, CAD models and detailed design for civil engineering requirements such as drainage, sewerage, road and associated infrastructure
- Read and interpret civil drawings and apply design principles to translate concepts and information into drawings, using feedback to modify designs
- Supporting and mentoring junior design team members by sharing your knowledge and experience to help support their professional development, as well as your own
- Champion the use of 12D and other design/modelling tools to streamline design processes and create enhanced outputs
- Proactively identify and resolve technical design issues with the wider design team
